This is a limited-time resurrection of the venerable Tempest Wave Graphite Pickleball Paddle, and a throwback to the first graphite paddle to come from the highly-respected manufacturer, Paddletek. The textured graphite face has the same great control of the original Tempest Wave. Inside, the half-inch-thick Tempest PolyCore dampens vibrations and is awesome for the “touch” game at the net. The combination of a graphite face with a polymer core is said to provides fantastic placement on ground strokes, and is certainly considered by many to be a “player’s paddle.” The sharp-looking face features the graphic of a huge wave as a nod to the “Tempest” paddle line, meaning “a violent windstorm.” The Tempest Wave is a great choice for players looking for a paddle with a relatively long handle without being too heavy. The 5-1/8″ long handle is good for ex-tennis players, while the grip is a usable medium 4-1/4″ in circumference. The 8″ wide face provides ample hitting surface and a broad sweet spot, while the overall length of the paddle provides fair reach at 15-7/8″.
